“I manage, monitor and supervise the execution of construction works, from the beginning to the commissioning and operation”, says Melissa Murrieta. She began as an intern five years ago and she is now a HV Electromechanical Works engineer.
To date she has put into operation four power transformers. Her work begins after the purchase of the land: she leads the civil construction, the building of the control room, the installation of the transformer, the commissioning and the inspection. After the construction of the Malvinas Electrical Transmission Substation (ETS), today she is in charge of the Comas ETS.
At first, Melissa, an electrical engineer from the University of Callao, would only go through the projects; today she makes them a reality. For that reason, what most satisfies her is the professional development that being part of the Enel Group allows her to have. “My colleagues have so much experience that enriches me; and I think I have also contributed with new ideas”, says Melissa, mother of one-year-old Liam. She cannot hide the pride she feels as she drives by the substations that she has helped to build.
