Renewable Energy Certification

 

Certificates that validate power consumption from renewable sources

A Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) confirms that 1 MWh of consumed electricity has been generated using renewable energy sources. Depending on your needs and the location of your facilities, there will be different types of certificates to offset your carbon footprint in the short term.

Renewable attributes issued to the consumer (I-REC Standard, Carbon Bonds, SGS Peru)

REC

Equivalent Renewable Energy Certificate issued by SGS Peru.

I-REC

International Renewable Energy Certificate. Used in different countries with voluntary markets for renewable attributes.

Carbon Bonds

International decontamination mechanism to reduce greenhouse gas emissions into the environment, centralized by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
