Enel ensures the continuity of the electricity service during the municipal and regional elections

  • Inspection of electrical installations, 24/7 network monitoring, and increased crews are some of the measures adopted by the company, considering the municipal and regional elections this Sunday, October 2nd.

 

Lima, September 30th, 2022. In order to maintain the continuity of the electric power service during the municipal and regional election process, Enel Distribución Perú has been executing a preventive plan that includes a series of measures such as the inspection of the proper functioning of the electric networks and public lighting in its concession area, in addition to intensifying the 24/7 monitoring of low, medium, and high voltage networks from its control center.

Likewise, the company has been monitoring the status of available substations and generator sets. Emergency crews will be available in any situation that requires timely attention.

It is also worth mentioning that the company is closely watching strategic establishments, such as voting centers, hospitals, and public institutions, while maintaining permanent coordination with them to guarantee the proper operation of their power supply and provide them with the necessary support.

For its part, the Enel X Perú division has inspected various public lighting installations in its concession area, emphasizing areas near polling locations. Likewise, it has enabled specialized crews that will be deployed throughout the city in the event of emergencies associated with public lighting.

In this way, Enel seeks to contribute to the normal development of the elections in Lima and Callao next Sunday, October 2.
