  • REVENUE: increased due to greater sales of physical energy, which stemmed from the recovery of our clients' consumption compared to the same period in the previous year, when the economy decreased due to the restrictions placed to face the pandemic.
  • EBITDA: increased due to higher revenues and the favorable outcome of an out-of-court settlement with a supplier. These factors offset the increase in the cost of generation caused by the greater purchases of gas to meet the growth of thermal generation associated with the energy demand in the period. Furthermore, these factors compensated for the change in the regulation of thermal generation regarding the declaration of natural gas prices.
  • NET INCOME: increased due to a better operating performance, which offset the lower impact of the exchange rate due to a lower cash balance in US dollars, as well as an increase in taxes due to a higher tax base.
  • DEBT WITH THIRD PARTIES: increased by PEN 182 million to cover an obligation that stemmed from an arbitration. It is worth highlighting the low level of leverage (debt/equity) of 0.1 times, demonstrating the adequate solvency of the company.
  • CAPEX: increased by PEN 16 million, mainly to attend to the automation and digitization of its operations. Likewise, the company has been conducting various activities associated with the operation and maintenance of its facilities, in line with its investment plan.

  • NET POWER GENERATION (GWh): increased by 46 % due to higher thermal generation, going from 1,714 GWh to 2,502 GWh in 2021, as a result of the increased demand in the country. On the other hand, hydroelectric generation increased by 2.6 %, going from 2,562 GWh to 2,629 GWh in 2021 due to the greater availability of water resources in the country.
  • ENERGY SALES (GWh): increased 125 GWh due to higher demand from our customers. This result is associated with the economic reactivation measures implemented to counteract the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
