Lima, February 17th, 2021.- Enel Perú enhanced the public lighting in the surroundings of "La Casa de Todos" (The Home of Everyone), a temporary home for many homeless Peruvians during the health emergency caused by COVID-19. These works improve the quality of life of the residents of the institution and also of the residents of the Palomino Urbanization, the new location of the House.
The works increased the lighting levels on the roads and parks adjacent to the institution through the installation of 30 LED lights. Several spaces of La Casa de Todos were also benefited by the new lights, such as the main entrance, the interior avenue, the garden, the sports hall, and the institution's medical post. Likewise, the installed infrastructure also improved the lighting of the streets Santa Justina, Santa Perpetua, Nuevo Boulevard, and four passages, all within the perimeter of the shelter.
“In addition to contributing to the improvement of the quality of life of the 60 residents and workers of La Casa de Todos, these works will also contribute to the feeling of security of the residents of the Palomino Urbanization, who will have streets with better lighting during the night”, stated Alejandro Barragan, Manager of Enel X Perú.
This initiative is part of the actions that Enel Perú has been carrying out to support the residents of La Casa de Todos since the beginning of the state of emergency. Throughout 2020, the company donated personal protection material for residents, as well as electrical works for the installation of a low voltage connection and panel, which would provide electrical power to the property. Similarly, in recent months, two kitchen sets (a 4-door industrial refrigerator and a kneader) were delivered to the shelter and the company is planning to continue its support with the upcoming delivery of equipment for the institution's refrigerator.
