Enel Distribución Perú provides recommendations to save electric energy in summer

Lima, January 18th, 2021.- The summer season is a good time to save electricity, consume it responsibly, and also contribute to caring for the environment. It is in this way that Andrés Ciudad, a specialist at Enel Distribución Perú, makes the following recommendations:

  1. Do not open the refrigerator unnecessarily or constantly and place it away from heat sources.
  2. Unplug the fans when you leave a room, as well as any electrical appliances that you are not using.
  3. Reduce the ignition time of the water heater.
  4. Set air conditioning between 22 ° C and 24 ° C, keeping doors and windows tightly closed.
  5. Take advantage of natural lighting to avoid turning on lights.
  6. Take advantage of the sun to dry clothes and avoid using the tumble drier
  7. Cook cold foods to use the microwave less time.
  8. Turn off the light when leaving a room.
  9. Blend soft things so as not to force the blender motor.
  10. Replace broken or damaged switches and outlets.
