Piura, May 15th, 2020. In response to the ongoing health emergency, Enel Perú donated medical supplies and oxygen tanks to the Talara Health Center. These donations add up to other actions that the company has already been carrying out in favor of this hospital, such as the delivery of N95 masks, gloves, and gel alcohol, as well as snacks and transportation for the medical personnel.
In addition to the support provided to the hospital, the company has delivered approximately one thousand baskets of basic foodstuffs for families in the Piedritas community and in the northern cone of Talara, a traffic control container to the municipality of Talara, and is providing support for the mobilization of volunteers, firefighters, and ambulances of the Ministry of Health (MINSA).

Within this framework, we have carried out various activities in support of people from Talavera who are in a vulnerable situation during the health emergency. In particular, we are proud to have been able to bring oxygen tanks from Lima at a time of serious shortage of this supply. We will continue supporting the people who are suffering the most at this time. Collaboration between the public and private sectors is essential to succeed in this battle”, emphasized Massimiliano Calamea, Sustainability Manager at Enel Perú.
As recalled, Enel Perú has been running the campaign “May our energy never stop”, for which it released an economic fund to accomplish various actions that contribute to the fight against COVID-19, mainly in the regions of Lima, Ica, Junín, Moquegua, and Piura.
