The theme will be “Art for a Sustainable World” and the aim to raise awareness about environmental care and protection.
Lima, 21 July 2016 – The Lima Art Museum (MALI) and Enel Distribución Perú invite you to participate in the 8th edition of the Enel Distribución Perú Week. From 26 to 31 July, many free activities will be offered to the general public.
Visitors to MALI will be able to join free guided tours to temporary exhibitions such as “Emilio Rodríguez Larraín” and “Moche y sus vecinos. Reconstruyendo identidades” and the permanent exhibition.
Adults and children may also participate in creative workshops and watch films. On Friday, 29 July, MALI will extend its schedule until 10 p.m. and close with a musical presentation by Fusiorama.
During the event, the “Becoming Aerosolar” intervention will take place as well. The objective of this international project is to collectively make a balloon out of plastic bags collected by the public. The sculpture will fly off outside the museum on 31 July as closing activity of the event.
The Electric Car
Enel Distribución Perú’s electric car will be on display in the atrium of the museum, as the company seeks to promote electric mobility in Peru. Electric cars do not depend on combustion engines, so they generate less noise pollution and no air pollution.
