100 thousand street lights were also replaced, which allowed lightning levels to exceed those established in the Technical Standard on Street Lighting.

Lima, 13 January 2016 – Enel Distribución Perú has replaced over the last three years more than 35 thousand power poles in the 52 districts of its concession area. The aim has been to improve street lighting in the city, quality of life and safety.

The company has also replaced an annual average of 200 power poles damaged by car accidents—a situation that affects not only the company but mainly the community, as it results in blackouts and insecurity.

It should be noted that, in cases of poles knocked down, the legislation grants seven days to replace them, but Enel Distribución Perú restores the street lighting service within 24 hours for the safety and peace of customers.
