Follow-up Audit Made by SGS to the ISO 50001 Certification of Enel Generación Perú Had Successful Results

Lima, 6 September 2015 – The electricity company was granted the ISO 50001 certification in September of last year.

Recently, the SGS certifying entity made an annual follow-up audit to the Energy Managament System of the thermal power plant of Ventanilla, which is owned by Enel Generación Perú and possesses the ISO 50001 certification. Given that this combined-cycle power plant meets all the requirements of the mentioned international standard, the audit had successful results, which means the power plant will keep the certification.

Enel Generación Perú was granted the ISO 50001 certification in September of last year and became the first company in Peru with such recognition.

The certification will be valid until September 2017 and its scope includes all the activities executed during the thermoelectric generation in the power plant of Ventanilla—from the receipt of fuel to the delivery of energy to the transmission network, as well as administrative activities.
