The system will allow remote consumption reading and virtual lightning control.
Lima, 7 May 2015 – In order to improve the quality of street lighting, Enel Distribución Perú implemented a smart system for data measurement, transmission, processing and management called Smart AP, which offers the following benefits:
- Remote reading of street lighting consumption
- Alert to areas in case of lack of service, failures, probabilities of theft or clandestine connections
- Time and remote lightning control system
The Smart AP system means an optimization of resources that mainly contributes to improving the quality of street lighting for the benefit of the whole city.
There are currently 9,503 Enel distribution substations in Peru, and the company has already installed this innovative system in 1,000 of them.
Enel S.p.A. provides for the dissemination to the public of regulated information by using SDIR NIS, managed by BIt Market Services, a London Stock Exchange Group's company, with registered office at Milan, Piazza degli Affari, 6.
