Electricity Sector Meets for the Safety of People

Companies, institutions and the Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines attended a meeting organised by Enel Peru.

Lima, 5 November 2015 – Representatives of the electricity, distribution, generation and contracting sector met at the First Encounter for the Security of Companies in the Electricity Sector, organised by Enel Peru.

The objective of the meeting was to create a space for dialogue and exchange of experiences with one goal in common: to improve safety, health and psychophysical integrity.

Security was a topic discussed and focused on as a matter of leadership. Other topics were:

  • Risk management tools and culture of prevention
  • Work at height
  • Selection and use of protective clothing against electric arc
  • Disaster Risk Management
  • Implementation of lock out/tag procedures in power plants

By the end of the meeting, all the participants agreed to promote a strong safety culture to be integrated in all processes, and place it as a central value in the strategic management of the organisation.
