20 Thousand New Homes in Shantytowns Supplied With Electric Power

In mid-September, Enel Distribución Perú supplied with energy more than 12,690 homes, a 63% increase.

Lima, 1 October 2015 – By the end of the year, 20 thousand new homes will have been supplied with electric power by Enel Distribución Perú in districts such as San Juan de Lurigancho, Carabayllo, San Antonio and Ventanilla—where the largest quantity of new supplies will be reported.

Access to electricity in Lima is 99%; the city has about 10 million inhabitants and more than half of them belong to the concession area of Enel Distribución Perú.

For the period 2010-2014, the company has supplied with electric power more than 123 thousand homes, which means that over 615 thousand people have now electricity.
