1,816 Power Poles Replaced to Improve Street Lighting

Areas of the Near North Coast of Lima have benefited from the annual pole renovation programme of Enel Distribución Perú.

Lima, 30 March 2016 – Barranca, Supe, Pativilca, Chancay, Huaral and Huacho were the cities benefited from Enel Distribución Peru’s annual pole renovation program. It was aimed to replace poles damaged by corrosion or wear in order to guarantee the electric service’s stability and reliability to customers.

The renovation and improvement of electrical systems conducted in 2015 included the replacement of 639 street lamps and lights damaged by wear in order to improve street lighting quality in these cities.

Enel Distribución Perú plans to carry out the same operations this year. Likewise, the company urges its clients to report to Fonocliente any suspicious activity threatening electrical infrastructures. The number to anonymously report incidents is 517-1717.
