A recent audit by Osinergmin determined an improvement in the electric service.

Lima, 31 December 2015 – According to the Peruvian Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin), Enel Distribución Perú’s results in the lights-off audit on its urban concession area were 1.1% and 0.8% for each semester 2015. These figures are below the 1.5% limit, which means a substantial improvement in the quality of the service provided by the electricity distribution company.

The 0.8% level belongs to the second half of the year and it is Enel Distribución Perú’s best result obtained in recent times, as shown by the audit. It reflects the effort made in the preventive and corrective maintenance work applied to its infrastructure.

In the rural area, values of 0.1% and 0.3% were achieved; they are below the 2% limit set by Osinergmin.

Throughout its concession area, Enel Distribución Perú has 375 thousand street lights, of which more than 100 thousand have been replaced over the last three years. In addition, street lightning levels exceed those set out in the Technical Guideline on Street Lighting.

Enel Peru provides electricity to 1.3 million homes, which represents more than half of the families of the Lima Metropolitan Area, thereby contributing to improve their quality of life.
