He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Brescia and an Executive Master's degree in Business Administration from LUISS Business School. He also attended courses in business administration, engineering and energy plant systems at the Luleå University of Technology and participated in the Leadership for Energy Executive Program at Harvard Business School.
Francesco Bertoli has more than 14 years of experience in the Enel Group. As part of the Group, he has acted as Total Quality Project Manager of the QUASAR project –which managed to reduce costs by more than 50 million euros–, Executive Assistant to the Managing Director, Head of Generation Planning & Performance Management, Head of CCGT/Oil & Gas Power Generation Italy, Head of Thermal Business Units of Fusina and Brindisi, and Head of HR & Organization Global Thermal Generation. In January 2018, he was appointed Head of Global Network Development and is responsible for identifying and prioritising capital investments for network and development operations for the company's global infrastructure.
