Enel Generación Perú Does Road Maintenance

Lima, 11 May 2014 – The electricity company does road maintenance on a regular basis and in different places in order to support the development of communities and their economic activities.

Enel Generación Perú has been doing maintenance on two sections of the road throughout the Chimay Valley, thereby benefiting more than 1500 inhabitants of about ten communities living in the districts of Mariscal Castilla, Masma and Monobamba.

These works lasted around two months and were done on the road from Tingo to Chimay as well as on the road from Chimay to Uchubamba, by using a pool of machines provided by Enel Generación Perú. People from communities helped to cut out the brushes and operators’ assistants were of great help as well.

The beneficiaries are the communities of Los Ángeles, Yanayacu, Las Orquídeas de Pacaybamba, Chacaybamba, Marancocha and San José de Villano; in addition, Uchubamba and its surrounding areas Ayna, Paltay and Ocoroyo, also located in Junin, were also benefited.
