Enel Distribución Perú Expands Its Networks to Serve New Customers

Lima, 19 April 2016 – Two shopping centres will operate in Huacho and Huaral thanks to the service provided by Enel.

Tottus Supermarket and Mega Plaza Mall are now in Huacho and Huaral, respectively. These two new customers of Enel Distribución Perú join the commercial growth of the Near North Coast of Lima, thus contributing to the development of these important provinces.

To supply with electric power these new shopping centres, Enel Distribución Perú carried out extension works on its aerial and underground medium-voltage networks. As a result, since last December, Tottus has a contracted load of 400 kW, while Mega Plaza has 1,000 kW.

Raymundo Gutarra, Head of LV/MV Network Maintenance, says that the service provided means commitment, responsibility and responsiveness to the growing demand.

Extended Networks

Other companies such as Pepas Tropicales, San Fernando’s Meat Processing Plant, Redondos, Procesadora Torre and Brancor have new energy requirements as well, so works are being conducted to meet the demand.

Gutarra pointed out that Enel Distribución Perú has ninety free clients in the Near North Coast of Lima. “We are fully prepared to meet all the new requirements presented to us, and that is why we are renovating both our medium and low voltage networks”, he added.
