Lima, 28 August 2015 – The plan’s objective is to minimise possible accidents among customers and users in general.

Enel Distribución Perú has implemented a home connection maintenance and regularisation plan aimed at providing customers with safe connections, reliable and quality energy supplies and electricity meters to accurately record consumption.

The electricity company seeks to eliminate risks in electrical connections, thereby reducing possible accidents among customers and users in general, and maintain meters in optimum conditions in order to reduce complaints.

The plan is implemented on an annual basis, but since 2011 emphasis is placed on the regularisation of failures: some 600 thousand connections have been regularised, most of which had locks in poor condition or none and service wires damaged or not complying with the minimum safety distances.

It also includes the regularisation of aerial service wires without mechanical protection, exposed or damaged by users due to inadequate self-construction practices, which represents a risk for pedestrians.

With these and other prevention actions covering the entire concession area, Enel Distribución Perú consolidates its commitment to providing customers with safer structures.
