Joseph's desk is easy to spot, as it is wallpapered with triumphant images of sprinter Usain Bolt. The decoration was done for his last birthday, and he left it as it was, as it shows the work environment that prevails in Enel’s Commercial Development and Innovation Department. “We are like a family”, says the systems engineer and management analyst. He says that when it comes to athletics, however, speed is not his thing, like Bolt’s, but long-distance running. The five marathons in which he has participated testify to this.
With 21 years in the company, José began as an intern. Now he integrates a multidisciplinary team that is in charge of conceptualising each new business idea, so that the Systems Department can examine and analyse its potential development. This happened, for example, when Enel allowed the thousands of clients of the Financiero Bank to make payments through our agencies. Engineer José Quispe, being the link between his department and Systems, defined and translated the proposal. Today it is a reality.

IIs there any link between his hobby and his work? “If you want to achieve goals, or new records, you have to be persistent and have discipline”, he says. That is why he tries to break his own records in each marathon, while, at work, he keeps up to date with the new technologies that will enhance his work and that of the Commercial Development and Innovation Department.
