The start of the Smart City
Smart Metering is the new way of knowing all aboutourenergy consumption: detailed information per time section, day, week and month.
It is a technological solution that includes communication infrastructure and new measurement equipment, all provided by Enel.
In the first phase, it is planned to change 10,000 old meters with 10,000 smart meters. Smart meters send and receive information through electrical grids, thus improving their operation. The reliability, security and quality of our service increase.
WILL THE BILLING INCREASE AFTER THE INSTALLATION?
The meter gathers detailed characteristics of energy consumption and this does not imply any increase in the billing. Your monthly bill will only reflect your consumption.
ARE THE NEW METERS RELIABLE?
They are. The new meters use international technology tested in Spain, where 7 million units have been installed. In Peru, these meters are approved by the Peruvian National Institute of Quality (INACAL).
DOES THE METER CHANGE HAVE A COST?
It has no cost. We cover all the costs associated with the installation and scheduled maintenance, of which we will inform in advance.
CAN I ASK FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A SMART METER?
For the moment, smart meters will be installed in the places selected for the pilot project. In case your zone is selected, you will receive a pre-installation notification.
IF I HAVE A SMART METER, WILL I RECEIVE THE BILL IN THE SAME WAY?
You will receive thebill in the same way as your current energy consumption bill.
IF THE METER IS STOLEN, WHO TAKES RESPONSIBILITY?
In the event of a theft, it will be managed according to the current regulations.
