Lima, June 16th, 2022. Enel Perú announces that, starting in June, María del Pilar Matto Calderón, assumed the position of general manager of Enel X Perú. The executive is now in charge of leading the company's five business lines, aimed at facilitating the implementation of innovative technological solutions for homes, companies, and businesses to accelerate Peru's energy transition and improve people's quality of life.
“I take on this challenge with a lot of motivation and responsibility. We will work hard so that Enel X Peru continues to be a strategic ally to its clients in the country through technological and innovative solutions”, emphasized the new general manager of the company.
Pilar Matto is an economist and has an outstanding career within the Enel Group in Perú thanks to her leadership, commitment, and excellent results obtained during the more than 20 years she has been with the company. Previously, she held the positions of Head of Commercialization & Trading and Head of Large & Institutional Customers, which has significantly contributed to her experience in energy trading, leading high performance commercial teams, customer service, and innovation.
Currently, among the most important projects of Enel X Perú is the renovation of public lighting in the Norte Chico district of Lima, an energy efficiency project that represents the largest modernization of public lighting in Perú and that will benefit more than 400,000 people . Likewise, the company offers flexible solutions to industries such as peak shaving and energy storage, which generate great savings.
With this appointment, Enel Perú continues to strengthen the operations of its business lines in the country, consolidating its leadership in the Peruvian market.
