Enel Distribución Perú executes preventive plan to maintain the continuity of the electrical service during the second round of the presidential elections

  • Inspection of electrical installations, 24/7 monitoring of the network, and an increase in the number of crews are some of the measures adopted by the company, in preparation for the elections this Sunday, June 6.

 

Lima, June 1, 2021. In order to maintain the continuity of the electric power service during the Second Round of the Presidential Elections, Enel Distribución Perú has been executing a preventive plan that includes a series of measures such as the inspection of the correct operation of the electrical networks and public lighting in its concession area, in addition to intensifying 24/7 monitoring of the low, medium, and high voltage network from its control center.

Additionally, the team has been verifying the correct condition of substations and available generator sets. It is also planned to increase the number of emergency crews to attend strategic areas, such as the facilities that will host polling station members and voters during the election’s day this Sunday, June 6.

It should be noted that, before and during the months of the national emergency, Enel Perú has carried out maintenance operations on the electricity grid to guarantee this service to all its customers in the city of Lima. These works are particularly important to maintain the good quality of the electrical supply, especially during this emergency time.
