2021 elections: Enel Distribución Perú deploys preventive plan to ensure the continuity of the electrical service

  • Company personnel has been carrying out preventive work to guarantee the electrical supply during the election day of April 11.
  • Various crews will be stationed at different points in the company's concession area to meet technical requirements.

 

Lima, April 5th, 2020. In order to ensure the continuity of the electrical service during the election day this Sunday, Enel Distribución Perú has been carrying out preventive actions in low, medium, and high voltage networks in its concession area.

The company has performed a series of preventive works such as inspections and monitoring of the electrical network, as well as coordination and verification of the status of the substations and generators of the strategic premises that will house polling stations and voters during election day this Sunday.

In this sense, Simone Botton, General Manager of Enel Distribución Perú, highlighted that “with the actions that are being developed, it is guaranteed that the electrical distribution system will count with correct operating conditions, giving priority to the continuity of the electrical supply in each of the voting centers. We reaffirm our commitment to bring the energy that the country needs during these important elections”.

It should be noted that, before and during the months of the national emergency, Enel Perú has carried out maintenance operations on the electricity grid to guarantee this service to all its customers in the city of Lima. These works are particularly important to maintain the good quality of the electrical supply, especially during this emergency time.
