San Juan de Lurigancho: procedure to reconnect the electricity service

Published on Tuesday, 15 January 2019

Dear neighbors,

The water that has flooded your property may have affected the electrical system in your home. In order to protect your life and the lives of your family, Enel Distribución Perú, in coordination with Sedapal, has formulated the following procedure to restore electricity in your home:

1.    Once cleaning of the area is complete, technicians from Enel will visit each house that does not have electricity and will proceed to disconnect the electricity meter. A preventive notice will be placed on the meter box to prevent people from trying to make the reconnection on their own.

2.    Sedapal will arrange the visit of electricians to every affected house to check on the good condition of the internal installations at the house. Afterwards, Sedapal will inform the technicians from Enel who were dispatched to the site to proceed with the meter reconnection. This will ensure that the household electrical system works adequately, and that people are not exposed to hazards.

3.    In parallel, for preventive purposes, Enel is checking the condition of the entire electrical infrastructure in the area.
