Lima, 30 November 2010 – Enel Generación Perú confirmed its commitment to provide health care to communities close to its premises.
In order to prevent and treat eye illnesses, Enel Generación Perú organised an ophthalmology campaign directed to Santa Rosa I and II, two human settlements located in the surroundings of the company.
During the campaign, every inhabitant of the mentioned communities were attended by ophthalmology experts who tested their visual acuity. Some of the detected illnesses are short-sightedness, astigmatism, presbyopia, pterygium (fleshy tissue on the eye) and cataracts.
