An entire team will be trained at the end of this month in the laboratory facilities.

Lima, 11 April 2016 – The Infrastructure and Networks team of Enel Distribución Perú will be trained in the Technological Innovation Centre (CITE) of Energía Silicon Technology, which is the first established in our country and Latin America.

The aim of this technology centre is to certify that all high voltage electrical products comply with quality excellence.

Modern Technology

The CITE is a modern laboratory with state-of-the-art equipment to perform electrical tests and intelligent network models, very useful for equipment manufacturers and distribution companies.

Roberto Sánchez, Head of Infrastructure and Network Technology at Enel Distribución Perú, stated that “the CITE also has equipment to carry out different studies in the conventional electrical grid, which allows us to improve designs and service quality”.

More Innovation for Less

Sánchez said that they have other equipment to conduct impulse voltage tests up to 1,600 kW that will help promote innovation in the electricity sector.

“We will be able to carry out specialised tests at a very low cost; they were, until now, done abroad at very high prices”, he added.
