With an investment of 65 million soles, the electricity company supports the largest district in Peru.

Lima, 15 May 2015 – As part of its investment plan, Enel Distribución Perú put into service the new Mirador Transmission Substation (TS), located in Canto Grande, with an initial installed capacity of 120 MVA. It will help improve service quality and energy supply reliability in San Juan de Lurigancho.

With an investment of approximately 65 million soles, the Mirador TS came into operation in September last year. However, as a result of the increasing demand, civil and electromechanical works are being currently conducted to expand the 220 kV switchyard and implement two new cells that will feed the future Malvinas TS.

Great Benefits

Currently, the Mirador TS meets the demand of Line 1 of Lima’s Electric Train and is part of the 60 kV network comprising Mirador, Jicamarca, Canto Grande, Santa Rosa Nueva and Zárate. Likewise, it is estimated that it benefits one million inhabitants by improving their quality of life.
